eCommerce Assortment: Optimizing for the Consumer, the Retailer, and the P&L

Suppliers have seen a dramatic evolution of eCommerce assortment.  While we started out with the endless aisle, throwing anything and everything up on the site, that has led to challenges with the proliferation of 3P sellers, the convergence of digital and B&M shopping, profitability pressures, and constrained fulfillment centers.  Now, leading brands are taking a more intentional approach, refining their assortment to the items and pack sizes that are appealing to the consumer while hitting profitability thresholds for both the brand and the retailer.  They are customizing eCommerce packaging for a better customer experience and for more cost-effective shipping and storage.  They are using the copious amount of data now available from the digital business to guide new product innovation.

Join us for a panel discussion featuring eCommerce packaging expert and CRC Thought Leader Partner, Menasha, as well as eCommerce professionals from branded manufacturers and rep firms, for actionable takeaways to optimize your own eCommerce assortment.  We’ll exchange perspectives on the pros and cons of eCommerce-exclusive product, SIOC and FFP packaging, and the endless aisle.  We’ll also dive into how panelists tactically execute these types of assortment and how they’re moving eCommerce to the forefront of the product development process.
