In this session, eCommerce professionals from leading branded manufacturers will be sharing their experiences and expertise on three hot topics among Amazon vendors.  Vivek Rastogi of Colgate-Palmolive will share how to best work this unique retailer, helping brands to strategically redefine the definition of a traditional retailer “partnership” and tactically deal with challenges such as constantly-changing vendor managers, the siloes inside Amazon, and the eTailer’s ‘hands off the wheel’ approach.  Chris Lawford of Makita USA will present on Amazon’s merchandising events, including how to decide on the tier of investment, how to get the most value out of the event, and how to measure success.  Rachael Levensohn of Kimberly-Clark will share her best tips and tricks for leveraging the SAS program, spanning both the initial launch phase and day-to-day management of the SAS resource.

Chris develops strategic plans with his team to achieve consistent growth in an always evolving power tool and e-commerce environment. Teamwork, communication and strong customer relationships are what’s most important to Chris and his team as they are confident Makita provides them with best-in-class tools. Prior to his E-Commerce role, Chris spent time on the Industrial Channel Sales team as well as the Marketing team at Makita. 

Chris earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Marine Biology from Cal State University of Long Beach. He currently resides in Rancho Mission Viejo, California with his wife and two children.

Rachael is currently the Sr. Sales Strategy Manager for the Kimberly-Clark North America Adult Feminine Care transformation team where she is responsible for long range customer planning and strategy alignment. Prior to her current role, she spent four years as the Sr. Team Leader for the Kimberly-Clark North America Amazon Team, where she led the commercial relationship between Kimberly-Clark and Amazon. In this capacity, Rachael led a team of account managers and sales analysts who built and executed joint business plans with Amazon, negotiated financial terms and developed eCommerce go-to-market tools. Prior to this role, Rachael led the Walmart Baby & Child Care Business for Kimberly-Clark North America and held various roles in Category Management. 

Rachael holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Wisconsin – Madison. She currently resides in Seattle, WA where she and her husband enjoy exploring the outdoors, cooking and traveling internationally.
